Our Founders of Freedom

foundingfathers-convention

On this 4th of July we remember the founders of this great nation for their courage and their dedication to the beliefs that we should have the freedoms to choose "Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

Without the sacrifice of our Founding Fathers we as Americans would not be able to freely choose our careers or become entrepreneurs. They established this nation against the most difficult circumstances. To briefly describe the scene in 1776 of Washington's army and to imagine the sacrifice:

The last day of 1776 most of the troops of the Continental Army service was about to expire. Washington raised their pay from $6 to $10 a month. In a plea for their service Washington ask for the men to step forward. When no one did, Washington addressed the men.
“My brave fellows, you have done all I asked you to do, and more than could be reasonably expected, but your country is at stake, your wives, your houses, and all that you hold dear. You have worn yourselves out with fatigues and hardships, but we know not how to spare you. If you will consent to stay one month longer, you will render that service to the cause of liberty, and to your country, which you can probably never do under any other circumstance.”
Men started stepping forward. “God Almighty,” wrote Nathanael Greene, “inclined their hearts to listen to the proposal and they engaged anew.”–David McCullough

We all can learn a lesson from our Founding Fathers- Stick to your Conviction.

No matter how hard things get financially, personally, or mentally. Keep fighting and pursue the desires of your heart.

On this 4th of July may we feel blessed to have the freedom to choose and obtain the desires of our hearts.
