Always Include Your Keywords

Keywords are important, so make sure that it's there in your ads. The keyword is there to grab the attention of a prospect – and if a person doesn't see what he’s looking for in your ad, he might just skip it and look at others. You must make sure that the keyword is in the ad and that the ad makes sense to your prospects. It can be difficult to create compelling ads on such a short space. Thus, you should start bidding a little higher to get visibility. By bidding higher, you get more exposure and higher CTR. This gets you better CTRs, and then you can slowly lower your bidding price. Ultimately, the goal is then to keep your ad on the first page with the lowest bid price possible.

Bidding from Low To High

This is another bidding strategy, complete opposite of the previous bidding strategy. This is best used for keywords that are less competitive and for people who have budget that are limited. You begin with lower bidding price and slowly work your way up until your ads appear on the first page. Still, it is important to work within your budget, keep your ads on the first page while bidding as low as possible.

Use Negative Keywords

Negative keywords are used in order to prevent your ads from showing up in searches that are unrelated. As an online advertiser, you have a specific target audience and you want your ads to appear in front of them. Your ad can display to the wrong people if you don't use negative keywords list. Let say you are promoting dog collar and a keyword you used is "collar". When a searcher type in the word "collar" into the search engine, he may not be looking for dog collar. It's possible he's just looking for collar for his cat. What you can do is to use the negative keywords function and add "cat" into it, so that your ad don't show. You must use the negative keywords to target your ads. This helps increase your CTR and most of your visitors are more likely to buy from your site.

Ad Testing

Testing your ads is important,but you don't have to do much because Google AdWords can test your ads for you. By placing in two different ads in each AdGroup, Google AdWords then alternately displays the ads in search results. After sometime, Google will decide which ad works best and use it more often.
